Day:6 session theme- Use of time-Series data in business decisions

Prof. Ajit explained the practical applications of various time-series using softwares such as SPSS, Eviews and STATA.

Day-5: Session theme: Introduction to time-series data analysis

Resource Person: Prof. Chandan Sharma (IIM,Lucknow)Prof. Sharma explained the theoretical aspects of time-series data and its underlying aspects. He then discussed the problem of unit root in time-series data and various tests which can identify the presence of unit root in data. He also demonstrated the application of these tests using eviews and STATA.

On 25th of September, 2021, Jaypee Business School organised an address to MBA batch 2020-2022 by an alumni of JBS Diksha Sharma. She is a passout from 2018 batch of the institute with specialization in finance. Her achievements in the corporate world has always made the JBS proud. Currently, she is working in McKinsey under a Wealth and Asset Management profile. The session made the batch aware of the grilling interview rounds and work-life balance in MNC’s. She highlighted the importance of clearing the basic concepts in one’s field and having an eager mind to learn new things. She motivated the students upon paying attention to the lectures and not losing focus. Being confident and prepared for uncertainties were the points that students were pushed forward to learn.

Day-4: Session theme- Business Forecasting using case studies. Resource Person: Dr. Rameshwar DubeyProf. Dubey presented various cases studies which clearly explores the application of business forecasting in real-life business decisions. He also stresses on the fact that business forecasting is an integral part of time-series analysis.

On 16th of September, 2021, Jaypee Business School organised an address to MBA batch 2020-2022 by the alumni of JBS Harshvardhan and Shomya Shukla. Harshvardhan explained the batch of 2020-2022 importance of being an opportunist. The session motivated the aspirants to overcome their fears of rejection and to always look at the positive learnings from each of the hardships faced. Both the alumni emphasized on Self Confidence and Building Connection.

Day-3: Exploratory Factor Analysis, Dr. Rameshwar Dubey delivered a session on factor analysis using SPSS and Ms.Excel. He explained the fundamental objective behind conducting exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. He also stressed out on the issue of reliability and validity of the data.

One week online FDP on “Data analysis using statistical tools” Day-2: Regression : Modelling and estimation. Session was taken by Dr. Shakshi Singhal where she explained regression estimation and modelling using SPSS. She also throws light on OLS model and its practical application in business decision making.

.Day 1- 13th september 2021.- Inauguration was done by our respected Pro Chancellor of JIIT “Prof. S C Saxena”. He addressed the program members and organisers.- Welcome addresses and Brief about the FDP program by our Respected Vice Provost of JIIT “Prof. Renu Luthra”.- Speaker for the day – Dr. Priyanka Tandon, Assistant Professor, Jaypee Business School, JIIT Noida.Topic of the day – Introduction to Research and Data Analysis and working with different statistical software.Today’s session was on brief overview about research and types of research. There was also a discussion on types of data and data analysis techniques and a brief on different statistical softwares like SPSS, Eviews, STATA has been provided to the participants.

On 13th of September, 2021, Jaypee Business School organised an address to MBA batch 2020-2022 by an alumni of JBS Shomya Shukla.

She is currently working at PlanetSpark as a HR.The whole session revolved around the placement drives and grabbing the every coming opportunities in the corporate world. The session made the batch aware of how the institute plays an important role in shaping the career of its students.
